I’m using this to keep cereal fresh, but I could see it becoming a nice dispenser for rice too.So far, it seems to be working. It holds a “family size” box of dry cereal.The only thing that is a little odd is the way the cap/measuring cup fits. I first thought it needed to snap on — there is a ridge on the cap and the container opening that seem to match up, so that the cap fits tight against the rubber o-ring. But then I found that if I line up the ridges, twisting the cap slightly also works. Not a deal breaker or a star-remover. This is a nice container for whatever you choose to store in it.
