I made this purchase with the intention of downsizing my filter requirements to a single 67mm size that fits all my lens (52, 62 & 67). I splurged on a single 67mm B W Nano-coated circular polarizer and a Sensei lens hood so I could easily rotate the outer ring. The B W filter ring is made of brass and I was concerned that the cheaper generic rings made of aluminum would present problems getting the two rings unscrewed. The Heliopan is also brass and therefore one is not softer than the other and sticking would be minimized. Just a light simple twist in the off-direction and so far no problems. About 8 times more expensive than the cheaper alternatives but peace-of-mind that I will not damage the $100 plus filter makes it worth it.
