I use this adapter with an AmScope – SM-4NTP microscope and Hayear HY-1139 imager. It appears to be of decent quality with coated lenses. In order to get the camera to fully focus I needed to use a modified C/CS spacer/adapter. It wouldn’t focus without the spacer, and the normal 5mm spacer put the focus point just barely outside the range of its focus capability. I found that removing about 0.5mm from the face of the spacer worked OK. I used a small lathe, but taking your time and using abrasive paper on a flat surface should work too. This adapter reduces the image circle just to the point where you start to get vignetting at a couple of corners, but yet get maximal use of the imager’s sensor. There is also a small amount of barrel distortion. Photos show the modified spacer along with it mounted on the adapter and a sample photo showing the vignetting. Overall I’m happy with it and find it does what I want.
