It will probably work fine in most scopes, just not in my first gen NP101.I wanted something to make my 2 inch 35mm Bresser eyepiece the equivalent of a 17.5mm. Without a barlow the 35 reaches focus about 1 inch out from the fully-in position. When I insert this barlow, I have to move the focuser inward all the way in and it still will not focus. I tried inserting the barlow between the eyepiece and diagonal, and I tried unscrewing the lens and attaching it to the nose of the 2″ diagonal, but neither worked. My focuser just can not travel far enough inward to reach a focus. The only way I was able to reach focus was by unscrewing the barlow lens and attaching it directly to the eyepiece (like a filter). While I was able to reach focus this way, it is not how I plan to use this barlow because it only gives about 1.5x magnification increase.I really wanted it to work because its very nice looking, has brass compression rings to keep from scratching you eyepieces, coatings look good, and it has a nice big lens. When attached to the eyepiece where I was able to focus, the image was sharp and clear so this is a good barlow. However I will reluctantly have to return it.
