It’s nice and thick and not too expensive. I live on a very cold river in WA that my 160lbs lab likes to swim in year round. I’ve had a few different types of vest. This one I like because it covers the whole body. The fit is a bit off but with this type of material you can trim it to size. I was a little shocked that she is a XXL because she’s pretty tiny for a lab. 160lbs is her winter weight normally is 150. The chest part is too wide so I’ll have to cut it down so it doesn’t rub her legs.
