These are a little bit shallow and that would be disappointing for keeping drinks in these containers. However, they are great for setting trays of food on top of ice. If something needs to be surrounded by ice you may want to get another set.I was very pleased with how many of these I can fit on a table and the fact that I could put them vertically and have room for other items on the table. Many of the other options would have only fit horizontally and taken up the entire table top.I could fit two 9×13 aluminum pans in a single container with the edges overlapping very easily. I was surprised how long the ice lasted considering there is nothing really special about the trays themselves to make them conserve the cold.
