A Sunset Seaview Landcape, A suncatcher picture. Stained Glass hand-crafted using the Tiffany Copper-foil technique. A ‘picture’ of a Sea View under a glorious sunset. I can’t paint with a brush but I can put different textures and colours of glass together to form a picture. I’ve used some lovely shades of ripple textured glass, some iridescent, for the sea. The sun is of course setting as no sea-view would be complete without a lovely red sky to give a promise of a sunny day. I always love views out to sea where there are islands on the horizon so this view has two. So just stand on that sandy beach and watch the waves breaking. I’ve used lots of different shades and textures to give movement. The colours change with the light throughout the day. This is 5.5 x 7.5 inches. It is designed to hang as a suncatcher in the window and I have ‘framed’ it for strength with twisted wire. It hangs from a strong silvery chain which is attached to either side of the top by soldered rings. I am very pleased indeed with this piece which looks quite stunning hanging in the window.
