The media could not be loaded.I only realized this after I bought it. The biggest pieces, queens and kings cannot hold onto the board if the board is tilted more than 45°. This is expected because the magnets are behind the wooden base of the board and the cloth like material on the pieces. I think this is expected, and the best that magnets can do.The thing I did not like much and I think that is a common theme across all kinds of magnetic chessboard is that the pieces are not securely fitted on the inside of the box. They are OK when closed but sometimes although rarely, you might need to just keep the board open with the pieces inside for decoration purpose but that won’t be possible with the board facing up.Also because the inside is black, if there is no good lighting sometimes by mistake where you are sitting, it is very hard to keep the pieces in their place, because since the pieces cannot be kept freely, it’s hard to keep them aligned in the respective places.Besides these nuances generally this board is good for a non-picky average customer if that is you. The wood material is sturdy. it’s well polished everywhere. The pieces are good. The lock is secure the magnets are good for most of the pieces except king and queen because they are tall and heavy and this board is good to be used in a car or train, etc. but not naughty kids around.
