I received the product in record time–just 18 hours from when I ordered it. But that isn’t even the best part and I hope you will read on about my entire experience!About 2 months ago I bought a similar product, Nyrius Aries NAVS501. I was not thrilled with their user manual which was about useless. I also could never get their wimpy IR device to work. They did supply one HDMI cable but you really need 2–so I had to go out and buy one. The Nyrius items did not automatically pair either. While I did get Nyrius to work -the transmitter crapped out after 2 months. I searched the internet for information on similar problems with Nyrius and found plenty! But found few solutions and only one highly suspect video on You Tube done by a person who was given the Nyrius as a freebie to evaluate and it wasn’t about troubleshooting. I sent an email for help and never heard back from them. So, I had to access their chat help line (which is only available during 8-5 weekdays and I am sure my boss wasn’t thrilled to have me on the clock dealing with a personal TV issue). But, after 45 minutes of explaining and re-explaining by text I was able to convince them to let me return it to them for testing. If they find something wrong with it they will send me a new set. But, if nothing is wrong with it they will send it back as is. Or, I could have them send me a new one (in 7-10 business days) but I would have to pony up a $199 fee which would be refunded if something was wrong with the one I sent them (which might be returned in 14-28 business days after testing if nothing is wrong with it (but I assure there is!! ).Now, without a HDTV device, I started looking for a replacement. I searched and found this, also on Amazon. I am not sure that I saw this the first time I was looking but I have to say–this product is by far the superior in every way possible. First, the kit comes with 2 HDMI cables (Nyrius only supplies one); this has a color quick start guide (Nyrius has a black and white piece of useless paper); this system accepts multiple receivers (up to 4 in order to support 4 additional TV’s) whereas Nyrius only pairs one transmitter and one receiver per HD device. There is a website prominently noted on the quick start guide which enables you not only to download a 33 page color user manual but also view various videos on how to do set ups, etc. so you can’t mess up the setup. They even supplied a mini USB item with which to update the components using a thumb drive. This system comes as pre-paired set whereas Nyrius does not. This system also comes with a small remote to use to name the various sources and use for advanced functions and Nyrius definitely does not.Lastly, while most people won’t be bothered by this, the Nyrius puts out a bright green light out the side vents which shows on the walls in the room where I sleep–and it would wake me up. This unit has no such Christmas light issues.I really wish I had seen this item the first time I looked. The price is better–the shipping is faster and the quality is much better. I will update this review if I need to. However, with all of the support, including a real phone number should I need it I feel that if I ever have problems that I will be taken care of.I sure hope Nyrius don’t send me that broken Nyrius back but I don’t really want a new replacement either! Either way I will give it to someone I don’t like much–just to get it out of my house!Oh–the picture and sound are perfect and my room is now arranged the way I want it so I am no longer tied to the cable outlets!
