My sister bought a portable emergency generator that runs off natural gas. The plumber was installing the gas line but didn’t have a source for a quick connect so I started searching on Amazon. I found this one and it worked perfectly for our application and meeting local code. This connection mounted after the outdoor shutoff valve and easily connects to the flexible gas line for the generator. When no flexible gas line is connected a bright yellow plug locks into the female opening to prevent spiders from getting inside. Sliding the locking collar allows the rubber plug to release and a portable flexible generator gas line (or BBQ) to easily connect.
