C. Santos – Handmade Baroque German Model Bass Bow

click picture to enlarge This handmade Baroque bass bow was made in Brazil in 2020 by C. Santos. This German style bow is made of snakewood specie and is round in section with a beautiful snakewood frog and endscrew. The weight of this bow is quite impressive. With a reduction of 12-13 grams from that of similar bows made today, clear articulation is easily achieved which makes it perfect for chamber music players. As is the case with all bass bows, a high-quality rosin is recommended for this Baroque bow. Weight fully haired: 119.1 grams.
