This fully carved Strad pattern cello was made by Peter Hue in Beijing, China in 2016 for J.R. Judd Violins. All of the hand-carved fittings are fitted in our shop: pegs, sound post, ebony tail piece, and carbon fiber end pin. The instrument has a two-piece highly flamed maple back with matching ribs and spruce table with varying width grain. The varnish is an amber orange-brown and is consistent throughout the entire cello. This instrument has a lush, warm sound on the bottom and a not-so-bright sound on top. An outstanding fully carved cello for the price.
