How to choose between edge lit LED panel light VS backlit LED panel lights ?Our LED flat panel is edge lit version, because the LED chips are soldering on the four edges of the light panel frame, a light guide plate(LGP) is used to make the light more uniform because of there are many reflections and finally direct the light downward. Regarding the backlit LED light panel, its LED chips are mounted on the back of the panel, lightbeam is directly downward without reflection, so  you can notice many lightspots when the light is turned on, it is glaring to the eyes and may cause disconfort. Besides, its aluminum profile is usually thicker than edge lit panel light. If the ceiling is very shallow or you need a lightweight fixture or you require confortable lighting for your working/living areas, it is better to go edge lit panel light. If budget is your priority, you can go backlit flat panel light.
